Famous worldwide, the white Carrara marble has been used since antiquity for decoration, sculptures, art, and archaeological artifacts. Join us on an unforgettable journey with Studi D’Arte and Cave Michelangelo in Carrara, where we’ll explore the marble quarries and a modern sculpture workshop. Our first stop will give you the chance to witness every phase of marble processing, from its extraction in the mountains to its transformation into stunning works of art. As we continue our exploration of the world of marble, the second part of our tour takes you to the Carrara Art Studies, where you’ll have a unique opportunity to closely observe the birth of a sculpture—from the initial idea to its majestic final form. The tour concludes with an exclusive aperitif featuring typical products from the Apuan Alps, accompanied by local wine, all within the unique setting of the Carrara Art Studies.
